Kathy's first 'An Ocean's Tale' layout!

Good morning!

Kathy created a fabulous multi photo layout with the
July Scraps Of Darkness kit 'An Oceans Tale

She started by using 2 of the G45 papers for the background.  She cut off 1 inch on the top and the bottom of the main background paper and matted the photos first with a yellow and then an orange G45 paper included in both the Main and Coordinating Paper Add On.  She wanted to create little scenes across the top and bottom using all those whimsical designs that G45s is famous for.  Lots of steampunk and fun! She stamped a wave design across the top of the orange mat.  The top has Die cut gears she painted with the Art Alchemy paint "Steampunk Copper" and then inked over them with black ink.   She splattered watered down gesso on the top and fussy cut little fish from another paper.  The flowers are included in the Floral Add-On.

She started on the right side of the layout and used some black netting she cut from a plastic fruit bag.  She created a collage on top of it of flowers from the Main Kit, Tim Holtz "Mechanicals Steampunk" gears, and a tag from the G45 cardstock collection of tags included in the Elements Add On

She fussy cut another image of the man sitting on top of the large fish and adhered it into the middle of the scene.  Below the image she stamped some swirly images to look like seaweed coming from the bottom of the ocean flower and placed beads and sequins on top.

beautiful and sweet from Lisa and Annie

Good morning!

It is a beautiful day here and i have two beautiful layouts to share!

Annie created such a sweet and pretty layout using the Scraps Of Elegance 'Belle Journee' kit!

For this layout she thought the background paper was so beautiful that did not want to hide it with too much medium.  She used Heavy Gesso with the Stencil included in the kit and added a little bit of Pink paint at the end.

Now we go from sweet and beautiful to dramatic and beautiful with this layout from Lisa Griffith using the same kit

She used the Bo Bunny 'Soiree Collection' for the base paper and all her layers, a Prima flower from the Floral Add On, called 'Maestro', and the Crafters Workshop stencil 'Victorian Sketchbook' from the Main kit.

Mixed Media Monday - June 27th 2016

Good Morning!
I have three stunning projects to share today for our mixed media Monday post!

Wilma is an outstanding artist and this layout shows how talented she is!

Using the Scraps of Darkness Soulshine kit, Wilma layered punched circles, mixed media techniques, chipboard and more to create this amazing layout.

The butterfly was cut out from the kit paper then embossed two times (mix blue and yellow embossing).
When the embossing was still a little soft she carved some lies in it with something pointy...

To keep the photo the focal point she used the negative from her punched circle to highlight the photo.

The next uber talented lady is Denisa with an amazing layout that highlights a very dramatic and amazing photo.
She used the Scraps Of Darkness 'Soulshine' kit

I love how the black and white photo pops with the beautiful blue mixed media background

The final project today is a gorgeous journal spread from the super talented Anna using the Belle Journee kit.
